Deposits, Cancellations, & No-Shows

We introduced a new policy at Lovely Sugaring regarding appointment deposits earlier this year and we are hoping to have it implemented for all our lovely clients by the end of 2022.

Lovely Sugaring is a small business, and last-minute cancellations and no-shows impact us very much. When someone doesn’t show up for their appointment or cancels/reschedules at the last minute, the reality is that we lose income. 

This is why we will require all of our Lovely Sugaring clients to pay a 30% deposit before their sugaring appointments. 

The deposit, once paid, will be deducted from the final amount of your appointment. It’s not an extra charge, you’re just paying for part of your appointment beforehand to secure it.

The only time your deposit will not be put towards your appointment is if you do not show up for it, or if you cancel or reschedule within 6 hours of your sugaring appointment. 

 

It’s a simple process that will help us continue to grow and keep offering the same excellent sugaring services, and it keeps your personal information safe and secure. 

 

  • How it works? You will receive an email a few days prior to your appointment asking you to pay your 30% deposit fee. Once we receive your deposit, your appointment will be confirmed. If we do not receive a deposit by 7:00pm the business day before your appointment, your appointment will be cancelled. 
  • What about last minute bookings? For appointments booked the same day, we will ask that you pay your 30% deposit within the hour of booking your appointment, if a deposit is not sent, your appointment will be cancelled. 
  • What if I have a membership? For clients with memberships who cancel or miss their appointments within the 6 hour window, they will be charged a one-time $15 fee for their following appointment.
  • Who can see my credit card information? No one. Your credit card information is kept secure in our system. No one at Lovely Sugaring can see more than the last 4 digits of your credit card, it is 100% secure and safe for you and for us. 
  • What if I have Covid or am sick? Our Covid policies at Lovely Sugaring will remain the same and our cancellation policy and fees apply. If you test positive or wake-up feeling unwell the day of your appointment, please stay home. We ask that you call or text us ASAP and we will reschedule your appointment to a later date, as we do not want to get our staff or clients sick. 

 

We value all our loyal customers and want to be able to keep offering the best sugaring experience for clients and staff alike, and this new policy will help us do so moving forward. 

 

Zero Tolerance Policy

We at Lovely Sugaring have zero tolerance for harassment, violence, or abuse of any kind. This includes but is not limited to: hitting, swearing, screaming, racist comments/commetns rooted in stereotypes, manipulation, expressing anti-LGBTQ+ sentiments, touching staff without asking, and sexual advances or comments. 

 

We are here to provide the best and safest sugaring experience for clients and staff alike, which means flirting with your sugar tech during services and asking them out, especially when you are in a state of undress, is not acceptable. Moreover, if you intend on being fully naked during your services, please discuss it with your technician prior to entering the room, as not doing so constitutes sexual harassment. If you are naked and your technician is unaware of it, they will not perform your sugaring services, you will be fully charged for your appointment, asked to leave, and removed as a Lovely Sugaring client. 

 

We do our best to accommodate all our clients’ needs for their sugaring services; however, we are growing at Lovely Sugaring, and will continue to do so. This means sometimes your preferred sugaring tech may not be available and you will need to see another technician. If this happens, we expect our clients to be respectful, and to understand we are doing our best to accommodate your schedules. 

We understand seeing a new technician can be intimidating, but refusal to see other technicians can cause stress for staff, as sometimes technicians are not available due to personal reasons (be it illness, vacation, maternity leave, and/or any other unforeseen life events). All our sugar techs are experienced and trained to follow Lovely Sugaring protocols, meaning regardless which technician you see, you will receive the same, amazing service. 

 

We also ask that you respect your appointment time, as the amount of time allotted for your services ensures all sugar techs, senior and junior alike, have enough time to complete your appointment. If you are more than 5 minutes late to your appointment, we cannot guarantee your technician will be able to complete your service. Please understand if you are late and we had to modify your service (i.e. we only have time for a groin instead of a full pelvic) you will still be charged for the original service you booked in for. We understand this can be upsetting for you, but we ask you not to be emotionally volatile towards staff, as we will not tolerate that behaviour. 

 

We want to remind all clients that Mila la Luna, our emotional support dog, is on premises most days. We understand that not everyone likes dogs (and that’s okay). You can call or text us prior to your appointment to let us know, and we can put Mila away for the duration of your appointment or schedule you on a day Mila la Luna is not in the office. 

 

Inability to follow these guidelines and respect our staff will result in your being removed as a Lovely Sugaring client going forward.
